Baba Medahochi began his journey to the land of the ancestors.
He had eaten a good meal and had rested well in preparation for his journey.
Even though it leaves us sad, he was well prepared.
The knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that he shared with us in life
is now our responsibility to carry into the future.
Ase!

* The time has been corrected from 9:43 am as previously stated. - Dee Robinson

I would like join in with all of my sisters and brothers in the knowledge that we have truly been blessed by having the opportunity to be nurtured by Medahochi. If it had not been for his presence, patience, and unrestrained understanding there would be many who would have a very narrow view of what it means to be in touch our own genius. The ability to tap into our "Afrikanessence" and conjur our own identity; then take that identity and label our nu-being as we will...is something that had to be nurtured...so, he did it...and I'm glad he did. May Baba Medahochi rest if he wills...may he have perfect peace. What a legacy has been left to his family as well as all others who loved him...Atche! Atche! Atche!

On May 26, 2007 Baba Medahochi K. O. Zannu, the greatest influence on the NuAfrikan spirit, began his return to the Source of All Life. We believe in our hearts that his journey will be unencumbered; the life that he led on earth declares so! We, the spiritual daughters and sons of Baba Medahochi, are eternally grateful that part of his pact in heaven was to return to initiate and guide us back to the shrines of our Mothers and Fathers. Baba was and will continue to be a constant source of strength, inspiration and guidance for us all. His life journey and evolution reads as an Apataki Dilogun or Odu Ifa. Baba was of good character and taught by examples of his own life. He was honest and open and did not fear ridicule, standing strong for what he believed to be correct. He lived his life as a True Adept of Ifa whose teachings and voice will be heard and felt always.
Let the True Adept of Ifa stand forth, and living the doctrines which he preaches, show to his brother man and sister woman the glory of his work, he holds the key to truth: let him then, unlock the door, and with his life and not his words preach the doctrine of the Holy and Divine Orunmila Baba Agbonmiregun which he has long professed.

Iku (death) comes to all of us, but great achievments will endure until the Sun grows cold.
We are blessed.
